I’m so excited because I got the lead role of Emma Nolan in The Prom! Rehearsals have already started, and I’ve been busy every day after school working on building the character, learning all the songs, and memorizing my lines. It’s a lot of work, but it feels amazing because I had set a personal goal for myself to land a lead in one of my school’s musicals. In every other show I’ve done, I always had the chance to wait backstage before my scenes, reviewing my lines and mentally preparing. This time, I’ll have to just go out there and do it without that pause—and honestly, that challenge is what makes me so excited.
